2008 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Level Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Level Sensor on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Before servicing or repairing the fuel level sensor, eliminate fuel pressure. Disconnect the cable connecting to the negative terminal at the battery and take off the fuel tank. Remove dirt from the region near the fuel pump module, because dirt can harm the fuel system as well as your engine. Apply an appropriate cleaning product and blot with filtered air at low pressure. Undo the cable that leads to the ECU and remove the connector on the top of the ECU, too. After that, use a brass punch to get off the 1/4 turn lock ring before taking off the module top. Empty the fuel from the tank using the right equipment and then put it into an approved container. Remove the wire connector from the passenger side level sensor before taking out the reservoir. Pry back the tab on the return line with a small screwdriver, tip the hose away and then do the same for the fuel line positioned above the pump module. Place the fuel pump module on its side so that remaining fuel flows out of the reservoir, then pull the module out. Remove the locking tab and pull the sensor card between the front tab and the tab across the card, as two locks are located on the sensor card, one on the front and one on the back.
