2008 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Pump Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Pump on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: First, lift off the fuel tank and clean around the fuel pump module to make sure no dirt gets into the fuel lines. Wash the area you want to repair using the right cleaner, then dry it using filtered compressed air at a low pressure. Disconnect the vapor and electrical wires, loosen the lock ring on the Fuel Pump Module with a brass punch, being careful to only contact the set sections. After that, remove the top of the fuel pump module and use the allowed siphoning tools to empty the fuel into an approved container. Unplug the electrical part first and then make sure the wire linking the passenger side level sensor is removed before you take out the reservoir from the tank. Find where the return line and fuel supply line tab locations are on the fuel pump module. Lift up the top tab on the return line with a small screwdriver, let it tip over and then do the same at the top of the pump module for the fuel line. Do not damage or break the locking tabs or supply line fitting. Tilt the fuel pump module over to drain out any end-up fuel in the reservoir and then take off the entire fuel pump unit.
