2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser Coolant Reservoir Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Coolant Reservoir for 2.0/2.4L Engines on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: For the regular 2.0/2.4L non-turbo engine, secure the coolant reservoir and tighten all fasteners to 4 Nm (35 in. lbs.), making sure the vent hose is correctly positioned. Put the vent hose clip on the dash panel stud and connect the MAP sensor connector. Finally, leave the power steering fluid reservoir bracket fasteners, connect the overflow hose to the coolant outlet connector and fill the reservoir till you reach the proper level. Put in the coolant reservoir for the turbo engine, tighten everything to 4 Nm (35 in. lbs.) and connect the throttle and speed control cables to the throttle body. Install the shield for the throttle cable and attach the overflow hose to the coolant outlet before filling the reservoir to its proper level.
