2008 Chrysler Sebring Brake Drum Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Brake Drum on 2008 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Be sure to first lift the car so you can access the brake drum. After that, remove the wheel nuts and take out the tire and wheel together. Slide the brake drum off the wheel mounting studs on the side where the bearing is located. Adjust the clearance around the brake drum by turning out the brake adjuster screw. For this, detach the plug from the support plate on the back of the wheel cylinder. Open the adjuster with a small screwdriver through the hole in the support plate, making sure to push on the lever pawl tied to the back brake shoe. Remove the pawl from the adjuster wheel teeth and at the same time, turn the adjuster wheel up by using another screwdriver or a brake adjuster tool. After the adjuster screw is backed off enough, the drum will slide right off the wheel mounting studs.
