2008 Chrysler Town & Country Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Front Brake Disc on 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: It is important to clean the hub face where the rotor is attached before you remove the front brake rotor. After that, set the rotor carefully over the studs on the hub and bearing. After that, place the disc brake caliper and adapter bracket assembly onto the brake rotor and knuckle. Connect the bracket onto the knuckle with the mounting bolts and tighten them up to 169 Nm (125 ft. lbs.). Then put the wheel assembly on the vehicle and remember to tighten the nuts holding the wheel to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Bring the vehicle down and press the brake pedal a few times to get the pads in the right place on the rotor. Lastly, look at the brake fluid in the reservoir and top it up if necessary, then go for a drive, making several stops to pressure-fit the brake pads to the rotor.
