How to Install a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2008 Dodge Charger?

Connect the wire harness for the door latch to the door wire harness connector before you put the latch on. Attach the latch to the inner latch face on the front door shell and add and tighten all three screws that join the latch, tightening them to 12 Nm (108 in. lbs.). To lock the driver side front door, put your hand into the back of the door shell and join the lock cylinder actuator link to the latch lever, holding it in place with the plastic clip. Following this, pull the exterior door handle latch release link and insert its end into the latch lever, clinic both pieces on their given plastic clips. Place the interior knob and lock link on one side of the front door and then slide the end of the interior door latch link over the latch lever and lock it with a plastic clip. With an Allen key, start the upper screw into the pull cup bracket and insert it into the keyed hole on the inside of the front door. Set the screw at the bottom of the bracket connecting the vagets to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.) inside the door and then tighten the other, at the top of the bracket, to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.) Put the watershield, speaker and trim panel back onto the inner wall of the front door. Lastly, put a wrench through the access slot on the outer latch face to loosen the adjusting screw, turn the door outside latch release handle as fast you can and then tighten the screw again using the wrench.
