2007 Dodge Charger Door Latch Assembly Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2007 Dodge Charger?
A: Open the inside front door trim panel, eliminate the speaker and then take out the watershield. After that, remove the screw that holds the bottom of the pull cup bracket and the window regulator rear rail to the door. Turn the screw that secures the pull cup bracket, pull it out of the keyed hole and slide the bracket away. Pop the plastic clip out from the backside of the door shell that holds the inside latch link to the latch lever, remove the link from the latch and then remove the interior door latch lock link and its knob from the front door. After that, open the plastic clip on the interior handle link and make sure it moves freely away from the latch. Unsnap the plastic clip for the lock cylinder lock actuator link on the driver side front door and release it from the latch. Loose the three screws holding the latch to the outside latch part of the front door. You can pull out the wiring connector after you take off all the links and loosen the latch from the door. After that, reach into the back of the door shell and move the latch forward, then unplug the door wire harness connector from the front door latch connector receptacle and take out the latch from inside the door shell.
