How to Install a Door Latch Assembly on 2009 Dodge Charger?

Connect the door wire harness connector (1) to the front door latch (2) in the first step. Attach the latch (1) to the inside of the door shell's latch face, add and tighten the three screws (2) to the standard 12 Nm (108 in. lbs.). Access the back inside area of the driver side door and then secure the lock cylinder actuator link (2) to the latch lever using the plastic clip (3). Now, connect each door handle latch release link-on the exterior (1) and the interior (4)-to the latch lever and lock them both in place with the plastic clips. Insert the interior door latch lock link and knob unit into the front door and click the interior door latch lock link into the latch lever. Secure the link with the plastic clip. Screw (1) the top-most screw by hand into the pull cup bracket (2) and guide it into the keyed hole on the inside door frame. Separately tighten the screw (3) holding the rear regulator rail in place against the bottom inside front door to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.) and the top pull cup bracket screw to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). Put the watershield, speaker and trim panel back into place inside the front door. Through the access slot on the outer face of the front door shell, hold the wrench firmly against the hex socket latch release adjusting screw (3) on the latch (2), cycle the door outside latch release handle, tighten the screw.
