2008 Dodge Grand Caravan Seat Cushion Parts and Q&A
- Q: How to Properly Install a Seat Cushion and Its Components on 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan?A: Place the seat cushion cover over the seat cushion and clip the retaining strips to the clips on the armrest. Pull the seat cushion frame (3) through the seat cushion (5) and cover (2) to form the assembly. If fitted, place the wire harness at the rear of the seat cushion and link the wire harness connector with the heated seat element. Insert the J-hook retainers (1) onto the arms of the seat cushion frame to secure the cover. For cars with heated seats, the process works the same as for non-heated seats. Align the seat track assembly (6) at the bottom of the seat cushion frame (5), being sure that the plastic isolators are correctly in place. Attach the four seat track mounting brackets (3) to the bottom of the seat cushion frame and put in and tighten the retaining bolts (2) to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Using a power seat, place the wire harness (7) under the seat cushion frame and at the seat riser (9), matching the each wire harness connector to the power seat motor (1) and seat track position sensor (8). If you have the module, affix it to the bottom of the seat cushion frame. Place seat bottom closeout (3) against the backside of the seat, then secure the two elastic straps (4) by pushing the push-pin retainers (1) into the bottom frame (2) of the seat cushion. Place the seat back and then slide the seat into the vehicle.
