How to Maintain the Belt Tensioner on a 3.7L Engine on 2008 Dodge Nitro?

Make sure first to take off the accessory drive belt before dealing with the accessory drive belt tensioner on a 3.7L engine. After that, remove the tensioner assembly from the front of the engine cover. Please remember that, because of its spring tension, the automatic tensioner is meant to be replaced as one unit, without removing the rest of its parts. After that, loosen the tensioner with the pulley bolt and slide the pulley off.
