Before changing the caliper, install the brake pads if you took them off. After that, put on the caliper and tighten the bolts with a torque wrench to 37 Nm (28 ft. lbs.) so they don't get twisted again. Set the seal washers on the brake caliper, put the brake hose banjo bolt on and fix it tightly with a torque wrench set to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.). Take the prop rod out after the tire is balanced and then bleed the base brake system. Add the wheel and tire pieces and once they're in place, take out the supports and lower the car. Be sure the brake pedal is firm to the touch before you drive away.
