How to Remove and Replace a Seat Cushion for a 60/40 Split Seat on 2008 Dodge Nitro?

To remove and replace the 60/40 rear seat cushion, move the 60 seat in place on the seat back frame. Screw seat bolt 2 onto the floor bracket and seat frame of the 60 seat on the left side, using a torque of 27.5 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Then, place the 60 seat pivot bolt 1 into the floor bracket 2 and seat frame and tighten it to 27.5 Nm. Fix the cable to the seat back frame and the seat riser. Install the 40 seat onto the pivot bolt and then put seat bolt 1 into the floor bracket 2 on the right side of the seat, tightening to 27.5 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Afterward, join the cable to both the seat back frame and the seat riser. To start, set bolt 1 into the floor bracket 2, tightening to the level specified and then set the seat onto the bolt thereafter. After installing, tighten seat bolt 1 in the floor bracket 2 on the right side of the 40 seat to 27.5 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Then secure the cable to the seat rope and seat riser.
