How to Maintain a Seat Heater on 2008 Dodge Nitro?

Before you begin service, disconnect and separate the battery negative cable. After that, remove the seat cushion trim cover or trim cover from the seat back. Unhook the power cables from the seat elements that do not work. After that, find the wires that connect to the heating element and trim them so they sit even with the edge of the original heating element. Do not take out the factory installed heating elements from the seat cushion or seat back foam, as you could permanently damage the material when you try this. The replacement part can be installed right above the factory heating element that isn't working.
