2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace a Brake Master Cylinder with Hydroboost on 2008 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: Before you remove or replace the brake master cylinder, detach all brake lines from it. Following this, remove the electrical connector from the system's low fluid level warning. After that, remove the mounting nut from the bottom of the master cylinder. Remove the wiring box by the master cylinder, then shift it so it is out of the way. After that, unscrew the upper mounting nut for the master cylinder and remove the master cylinder. While working, remove the master cylinder by pushing it straight down to make sure the output rod is not disconnected from the booster.
