2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove a Brake Master Cylinder on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: To take out the Brake Master Cylinder, press the brake pedal five times and hold it down. After that, drain and siphon the fluid from the reservoir before removing the connector for low fluid level. Pull out the outlet port from the master cylinder and place a towel or rag below it to keep the car from getting damage. Clear the brake lines off the master cylinder and remove the nuts holding it onto the frame. Pull the master cylinder and reservoir out from over the booster, making sure it stays at a right angle so the output rod is not hit and comes loose in the booster. After that, take out the master cylinder.
