How to Effectively Service and Repair Coil Springs on 2008 Dodge Ram 2500?

Before you work on the spring, lift the vehicle and support it with a hydraulic jack placed under the axle. Add alignment marks to the lower suspension arm cam adjusters and axle bracket which will guide you as you install them. After that, take out the upper suspension arm and free up the bolts on the lower suspension arm. Separate the front propeller shaft from the axle on 4x4 models. Take off the track bar from the frame rail bracket, the drag link from the pitman arm and the stabilizer bar link and shock from the axle. When all is done, take the axle away completely until the spring comes free of the upper mount and take out the coil spring.
