Always disconnect the battery before servicing or repairing your vehicle's exhaust manifold. Then, after the filter, remove the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold bolts. With the engine out, remove the bolts and remove the exhaust manifold next. After that, take out the exhaust manifold gasket.
