2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500 Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an Intake Manifold on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500?
A: The first step to replace the intake manifold is to get rid of the negative battery cable and drain the coolant. After that, take out the air filter housing and the intake air tube. Next, release the fuel pressure, then unplug the PCM, take out the PCM along with the bracket and bolts. Cut the power to engine fuel rail before unplugging and removing all electrical connectors above the engine, placing the harness aside. Take out the vacuum line connector from the power brake booster, unplug the Mass Air Flow sensor and remove the MAF. Open the oil separator, pull out the oil separator tube and disconnect the crankcase ventilation sensor hose. Remove the right and left hand camshaft sensors, the Short Runner connector, the throttle sensor connector, the Tumble Valve solenoid connector, the Sensor harness connector and the Electronic throttle control solenoid connector, after which place the main harness down to one side of the engine. Take the fuel injector harness connectors out, let go of the fuel rail pressure first and unplug the fuel line. First, get the fuel rail bolts off and the fuel rail too. Then go ahead and unhook the EVAP purge solenoid hose as well as the power brake booster vacuum line at the intake manifold. At the end, remove the bolts on the intake manifold and pull out the intake manifold.
