How to Safely and Correctly Install an Air Bag on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500?

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable first, then permit the system capacitor to drain for two minutes. No loose materials should be able to find their way into the driver air bag or get stuck along its surface, allowing the air bag to cut or harm someone upon its use. Do not paint the driver air bag trim cover; paint can change the material's behavior during a crash. Should an air bag be defective but remain unexploded, perform the actions advised for handling air bags that were not deployed. After air bag deployment, study the vehicle's service information about stored diagnostics before removing it. Fix the driver air bag just next to the steering wheel so you can attach the electrical connections at the back of the air bag housing. Put the wiring harness connector back into the inflator connector as far as possible and make sure the latch and lock click into place. Link the horse air bag hook and the wire connector to the pigtail wire harness behind the driver air bag housing. Be sure to place the driver air bag accurately so you don't bend the Clock Spring pigtail wires.
