2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500 Radiator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Radiator for a 3.0L Diesel Engine on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500?
A: The first step is to mount the fan shroud on the radiator, then pair the fan shroud with the radiator by connecting the coolant pipes with hoses to it as well. Attach the radiator hose to the radiator and set the trim piece at the radiator's bottom after that. Secure the charge air cooler alongside the power steering cooling loop to the radiator and then put the entire radiator assembly into the rubber grommets. Fix the radiator trim panel on the right, then attach the left side and finally add in the transmission cooler lines. Place the hose from the radiator on the bottom right and attach both of the power steering hydraulic lines. Carefully hook up the coolant level sensor cable to its connector and attach the hoses from the coolant reservoir, radiator and water pump. The airflow enters at the body through the air intake pipe, then moves out through the charge air hose connected between the air intake and turbocharger. Now, the A/C condenser, front bumper and front end cross member should be installed. Fill the power steering and transmission to the correct amount, screw in the drain plug for the radiator and top up the cooling system. Fill up the refrigerant in the air conditioner, start the car, allow it to warm up and check everywhere for leaks.
