  Q: How to Install a Radiator for a 3.0L Diesel Engine on Dodge Sprinter 3500?

  At first, place the radiator and assemble the fan shroud on to it and then put the radiator hoses onto the fan shroud end connections. After that, fit the radiator hose to the radiator and set the bottom radiator trim into place. Attach the charge air cooler to the cooling loop of the power steering and link them to the radiator and then fill the radiator assembly in the rubber grommets. First, put on the right-side radiator trim panel and next, install the left-side panel. Then put the transmission cooler lines in place. Attach one end of the radiator hose to the bottom right of the radiator and attach both power steering hydraulic lines. Attach the socket of the coolant level sensor to its electrical connector and link the coolant hoses to the radiator, reservoir and Water Pump. Connect the pipe carrying air into the engine to the area around the intake and hook the turbocharger's air hose to the other end. Put in the A/C Condenser, front Bumper and cross member of the front end. Fill the power steering and transmission up to the correct level, secure the radiator drain plug and refill your cooling system. Be sure to recharge your machine and keep going until the engine is hot. Check at that point for possible leaks.

  Before servicing or repairing the radiator on a 3.0L diesel engine, drain the coolant first. Afterwards, remove the head lamps, then take out the front cross member and front grille all at once. Following that, take out the front Bumper and take off the bolts holding the air charge hose to the sheet metal and Intercooler. Take out both air intake pipes and remove both coolant hoses from inside the coolant recovery container. Take out the connector from the coolant level sensor and get rid of the hose at the bottle right side of the radiator. Remove the transmission cooler lines from the radiator and also remove the trimming on both sides of the radiator. Following this, take the radiator fan off, along with any bolts that keep the intercooler linked to the radiator. Remove the bolts and top trim from the radiator, then relocate the condenser/intercooler/power steering cooler assembly ahead. Take off the entire assembly of the radiator from the rubber grommets and remove the charge air cooler along with the steering cooler loop attached at the radiator. After those steps, take off the bottom radiator trim, disconnect the radiator hose on the radiator, remove the coolant hose from the fan shroud together with the radiator hose and remove the radiator fan shroud.
