    A: It is important to take care of engine damage and then, when needed, replace the oil cooler and flush the oil cooler lines when doing this replacement. Take out the whole air cleaner housing assembly first. After that, let the cooling system drain. Disconnect the ends of the coolant hoses from the oil cooler. Using Special Tool 9005, remove the oil from the cooler by separating the oil supply and return lines. Last, unhook the fasteners that hold the oil cooler inside the vehicle and then take out the oil cooler.
