2009 Dodge Viper Oil Cooler Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install and Inspect an Oil Cooler and Its Connections on 2009 Dodge Viper?
A: Install the oil cooler fasteners and position the oil cooler in place and tighten the fasteners to 5 Nm (40 in. lbs.). The oil cooler coolant hoses and the oil cooler itself need to be connected to the oil supply and return lines. Connect the throttle body air inlet hose; Install the air cleaner housing assembly. Start the engine and circulate and fill the oil cooler with the cooling system filled. Once you turn the engine off, check and put oil if necessary. The last check would be for leaks of the oil cooler connections and correct as necessary.
