How to Install a Water Pump on 2008 Dodge Viper?

Before putting in the water pump, use Mopar(R) Brake Parts Cleaner or an equivalent to clean both sealing surfaces without scratching them with a plastic scraper. After that, install a water pump gasket and secure the pump to the chain case cover. Torque the water pump bolts at 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.) in the series indicated by the manual. Manually turn the water pump after it is fitted to make sure it can move freely. Now, put in the accessory drive belt, fit the air cleaner housing and join the throttle body air inlet hose. Make sure to add fresh water to the cooling system as the last step.
