How to Install Trunk Lid Lift Support on 2008 Dodge Viper?

Before fitting the trunk or liftgate shock support, press the upper retaining clip all the way into its ball socket. The next step is to place the support cylinder over the upper and lower ball studs, letting its thin end connect to the body side of the hinge, so the upper retaining clip clicks into place. Once the bearings are installed, snap the lower ball socket retaining clip all the way closed.
