2008 Jeep Commander Steering Wheel Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Detach a Steering Wheel on 2008 Jeep Commander?
A: The steering wheel should be removed after you have turned off and removed the driver's air bag. Following this, unconnect all electrical parts and take out the bolt from the steering wheel (2). Following that, separate the horn plate and screw it back on (1) by partially reinstating the steering wheel bolt (2). Pull out the horn switch (1) first so you can get to the holes for steering wheel removal, then place the horn switch (2) to the side. Put a steering wheel puller (4) over the steering wheel, making sure the pushing arms are secure in the holes (3) and pull the wheel upwards.
