How to Safely Detach a Steering Wheel on 2007 Jeep Commander?

To start, turn off and remove the drivers side air bag before you try to take out the steering wheel (1). After that, remove the wires from all the electrical plugs (2, 6 & 7). Carefully take out a few turns of the steering wheel bolt, so it stays in the steering column. After that, attach the puller (2) or a corresponding instrument and press it down on the bolt from above. Following this, take off the steering wheel.
