2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ball Joint Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Front Lower Ball Joint on 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: Put a large amount of lubricant on the threaded sections of the tool before you try to install the front lower ball joint. Take a special press, driver and receiver gadget and then install the ball joint (4) into the control arm (3). Hammer the ball joint flange into four evenly placed holes with a chisel. After that, take out the support for the halfshaft and place it in its spot and add the clevis bracket for anyone with a 4X4 car. Fit the steering knuckle to the vehicle and add the tie rod end to the knuckle afterwards. Tighten the halfshaft nut to 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.) if it comes standard on your vehicle. Next, put on the brake caliper and rotor and then the tire and wheel group. Examine the height of the vehicle and set up the wheel alignment as the last step.
