2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ball Joint Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely Remove a Ball Joint on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: To start, lift the vehicle, secure the axle and take off the tire and wheel. Following this, take out the ball joint nut from above the knuckle and use special tool #8677 to split the upper ball joint from the knuckle. Pull the knuckle far enough away to give you space for using the ball joint removal tool. Applying extreme pressure material to the threaded areas of the tool will help it work well and last longer both when removed and installed. In the end, apply pressure to the ball joint from the upper control arm with special tools C-4212-F (PRESS) and 9652 (Driver).
