How to Install a Rear Door Latch Assembly on 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Currently, if the actuator rods are not attached, secure them to the rear door latch and hold them steady with the provided retainers. After that, set up the rear door latch and actuator rods into the door together so that the lock knob rod passes right through the hole in the inner panel. Fix all three bolts that go with the rear door latch and tighten them so they reach 10.5 Newtons per meter (95 inch-pounds) of torque. Snap one end of the door wire harness connector to the rear door latch, insert the interior handle actuator rod into the latch and tighten the retainer. Tie the actuator rod to the handle near the rear door, fix the watershield on the back and adjust the rear door latch as suitable.
