How to Remove and Service a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The front window should be raised all the way and the watershield should be moved, as needed, before accessing the latch assembly. Separate the rod from the exterior handle and the rod from the front door latch and now remove the rod. After that, disconnect the door wire harness connector from the front door latch. Disconnect the front door latch from the door by removing the bolts and remove both latch and actuator rods as one unit. Remove all of the actuator rods from the actuator if that is required.
