How to Service and Repair a Rear Engine Mount on 2008 Jeep Liberty?

Before dealing with the rear engine mount, you should first unhook the negative cable from the battery. Elevate the car and place support under the transmission. Release the nuts connecting the support cushion to the crossmember and afterward remove the complete crossmember. In a manual transmission, take your time to remove the nuts of the support cushion and the cushion itself. Take out the bolts of the transmission support bracket to release it from the transmission. Unbolt just the support cushion bolts and pull out the cushion and bracket from the transmission where it joins 4WD or remove the cushion and bracket from the adaptor bracket if the engine and transmission are 2WD. In vehicles with 2WD, remove the bolts that attach the transmission support adaptor bracket to the transmission and then remove the adaptor bracket.
