2008 Jeep Liberty Seat Cushion Parts and Q&A
- Q: How to Remove and Replace a Front Seat Cushion on 2008 Jeep Liberty?A: Replacing the front seat cushion begins with taking out the passenger or driver's seat. As long as you have them, take out the seat weight sensors from the front passenger seat. Unplug all the electrical connectors, take out the occupant classification module and then remove the electrical harness from the OCS mounting plate. After that, separate the electrical connectors from the heated seat back and seat and take off the recliner handle. Take out the two screws from each side and rear of the outer seat trim to remove the trim panel. Handle the Heated Seat Module mounting tab gently and watch for you damage it while you take out and put in the seat position sensor. For this part, pull the front seat all the way back, unhook the negative battery cable and pull apart the connector linking the heated seat to the vehicle. Withdraw the control tab from the back of the seat pan and pull out the heated seat module from the car. Remove the nuts that are on the left and right seat tracks. Take out the electrical connection from the seat bottom, unplug the recliner cable from the front and the back of the seat and remove the two bolts from the sides to pull the seat bottom away from the seat back.
