How to Safely Install an Antenna Cable on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?

Always ensure the area's air bags are safe to prevent unintended deployment before installing the antenna equipment on a car with air bags. Initial placement of the antenna cable and base assembly involves feeding them from the outer cowl through the hole in the inner cowl on the vehicle's outside. From within the passenger compartment, pull the cable and its grommet through the opening in the inside cowl side panel all the way to the inside. With 3.3 Nm (30 in. lbs. of torque) tighten three screws that fasten the antenna base to the outside cowl side panel. Push the antenna base trim cover on top of the antenna's base and then attach the antenna mast, tightening it to 5 Nm (46 in. lbs.) as you seat it completely against the base with no opening underneath. Run your hand into the glove box to attach the two antenna cables together with the line connector. After that, slide the glove box back into the instrument panel and plug the battery negative cable in.
