How to Service and Repair a Hood Hinge on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?

You should remove the cowl top panel as the first part of servicing and repairing the hood hinge. You don't have to lift the hood to change the hood hinges, as you can work on them individually. Hold the hood up with a device so it doesn't fall, then remove the hinge to body bolts. Draw the place where the hood hinges should be with a grease pencil or other similar tool. Next, remove the hinge to hood bolts and take out the hinge.
