2009 Chrysler Aspen Oil Pan Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install an Oil Pan for a 4X2 Engine on 2009 Chrysler Aspen?
A: Before installing the engine oil pan on a 4X2, wipe the gasket mating surfaces of the bedplate and the oil pan. Set the oil pan gasket and pickup tube with new o-rings in place, screw in the mounting bolt and nuts and tighten them to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). After that, put the oil pan in place and insert the mounting bolts, tightening them to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) in the directed order. After removing the blocks of wood, raise the engine and put both left and right engine mount bolts through the brackets and tighten them to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.). Unplug the jack and next, fix the oil filter and then mount the ruction filter cover. place the exhaust pipe onto the end of the exhaust manifolds and then return the vehicle to the ground. Add the intake manifold, then place the throttle body resonator and the air inlet hose and after that install the upper shroud over the fan. Coolant and engine oil should be filled and then you can start the engine and see if anything is leaking.
