2009 Chrysler Aspen Crankshaft Seal Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Repair a Crankshaft Seal on 2009 Chrysler Aspen?
A: Remove the negative cable from the battery before doing any service or repair to the front crankshaft seal. Afterward, take off the accessory drive belt and then disconnect the mounting screws of the A/C compressor to move it out of the way. Remove the pressure from the cooling system and take out the upper radiator hose. Take out the fan mount inside the shroud by removing the connector and note that the transmission cooler line is hinged to the shroud's lower place on the right. Then, take out the radiator cooling fan and shroud. Once the crankshaft damper bolt comes out, insert Crankshaft Insert 8513A into the hole and use Three Jaw Puller 1023 to get rid of the damper. In the end, apply Crankshaft Front Seal Remover 8511 to take out the crankshaft front seal.
