2009 Chrysler Sebring Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Brake Disc on 2009 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Check both the disc brake pads and parking brake shoes before you remove and replace the rear rotor. Remove any contamination or corrosion from the area of the hub that should hold the rotor. Now, fit the brake rotor onto the studs of the hub and bearing where it's needed. When you install the caliper to the adapter bracket, make sure you don't damage the guide pin boot. Turn the disc caliper down toward the rotor and into the lower part of the adapter before you insert and tighten the caliper guide pin bolt. After fitting the caliper, set the outboard brake pad so that its clip is level with the indentations on the caliper fingers and the nubs on the pad's rear fit into the depressions of those fingers, with zero space left between them. Fasten the wheel and tire assembly, tightening the bolts holding the wheels to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Park the vehicle, push the pedal to the brake, let go and then check and refill the reservoir if necessary. Then, take the vehicle out on the road and ensure you make some stops to let the brake pads bed in to the rotors.
