2009 Chrysler Town & Country A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an A/C Condenser on 2009 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Start by separating the negative battery cable from the car's chassis. Take the refrigerant out of the refrigerant system. After that, remove the grille and then get rid of the three nuts holding the A/C discharge line and A/C liquid line to the condenser tapping block on the right front corner of the engine. Cut the A/C discharge tube and liquid line from the condensing unit behind the inverter and toss aside the O-ring seals and gaskets. Put plugs in or tape over all the open places where refrigerant is distributed in your unit. Separate the condenser tapping block with the attached screw from the radiator and also pull the two cooler pipes from the transmission fluid cooler, using plugs or tape to close the open ports. Get rid of the upper radiator crossmember and place it away from where you're working. Release the tabs holding up the condenser mounting bracket to the radiator, then gently move the radiator backward for space. Before removing any radiator or condenser air seal, take note of where it is located, because it needs to be put in place correctly for the A/C and engine to work properly. Then, raise the A/C condenser up while standing in front of the radiator so the lower mounting brackets clear the radiator and the condenser can be pulled free from the engine bay.
