2009 Dodge Challenger Blower Motor Resistor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove a Blower Motor Resistor on 2009 Dodge Challenger?
A: To take out the blower motor resistor, you should turn off the air bag by getting rid of the negative battery cable and let the air bag system capacitor discharge for two minutes. Let the blower motor run for five minutes at the most to let the resistor cool because it gets very warm when operating. Only run the blower motor with the resistor in place, to avoid harming your vehicle. You should begin by taking off the negative battery cable. After that, slide the glove box out of its place above the instrument panel. Take off the wire harness from the blower motor resistor. Ultimately, take out the couple of screws that fastens the blower motor resistor and lift the resistor out of the housing.
