2009 Dodge Challenger Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an Intake Manifold for Upper on 2009 Dodge Challenger?
A: Remove and isolate the negative battery cable before you tackle the upper intake manifold. After that, pull the IAT sensor electrical connector off the throttle body and remove the air inlet hose. Also, unplug electrical connector MAP sensor and remove hoses 1, 2 and 3 from the upper intake manifold. Separate the connectors from the throttle control (5) and remove all fasteners from the top of the engine to lift off the throttle bracket (4). After finishing step 3, remove the wiper module, strut tower support and EGR tube (1). Unhook the connectors from both the manifold tuning valve (1) and short runner valve (2) and take out all the fasteners (2) securing the intake manifold support brackets. After that, take out the bolts holding the upper intake manifold in place, the insulation foam pad and the manifold itself, cleaning all the gasket surfaces.
