2010 Dodge Challenger Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an Upper Intake Manifold on 2010 Dodge Challenger?
A: For upper intake manifold service, you should first clean and check the gasket sealing areas and then lay the new gasket into place. Place the foam onto the upper intake manifold first, then connect the manifold, using a 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) crisscross sequence starting from the center. After that, attach the needed manifold support brackets and set all of the fasteners to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). After connecting the short runner valve electrical connector, add the throttle bracket and tighten each fastener to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) at the throttle body and 28 Nm (259 in. lbs.) at the cylinder head. Engage the connector of your harness with the electronic throttle control and attach the PCV hose, power brake vacuum hose and purge hose to the intake manifold. Put in the EGR tube, strut tower support, wiper module and cowl panel. Join the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor to its connector, add the inlet hose and connect the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor harness connector. After that, link the negative cable to the battery and tighten the nut to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).
