How to Install a Crankshaft Seal Using the Seal Installer on 2009 Dodge Dakota?

Before you install the rear crankshaft seal, apply engine oil to the crankshaft flange. After that, attach the Seal Installer 8349-2 onto the crankshaft rear face and put the crankshaft rear seal 1 onto the guide. Once you have the tools in hand, start tapping the seal into the bore with a hammer until the installer is seated against the cylinder block crankshaft. After putting in the seal, you can go on to fit the flexplate and then the transmission.
