How to Remove the Electronic EGR Valve and Solenoid Assembly on 2009 Dodge Durango?

Before doing anything else, read any stored DTCs using a scan tool and then eliminate negative battery power to the vehicle. After that, take off the plastic windshield cowl and windshield wiper motor. Since the routing tube connects the EGR valve to the intake manifold, open the half that faces the EGR valve, disconnect its end from the solenoid and remove the other half from the intake manifold. Take out the gasket connecting the EGR valve solenoid and the routing tube flange, remove the connector at the solenoid and remove both retainer clips holding the solenoid. In the end, remove the solenoid and throw away the gasket found under the EGR solenoid.
