How to Service and Repair an Inner Tie Rod End on 2009 Dodge Durango?

Start the service and repair of the inner tie rod end by threading it onto the rack and pinion. Use special tool kit # 10087-3 to tighten the inner tie rod end to 169 Nm (125 ft.lbs.) by using # 10087-2 as well. After that, attach the boot to the tie rod end and tighten it in place with another clamp. After installing the jam nut, screw the outer tie rod on, turning it as many times as it was previously. Then, position the front wheels and lowers the whole van by its jacks. Carry out a toe adjustment, then tighten the jam nut to 50 Nm (37 ft.lbs.) after making the adjustment.
