How to Service and Repair the Left Engine Mount on 2009 Dodge Journey?

The left engine mount should be serviced and repaired by first unplugging and isolating the battery cable. After that, take out the air cleaner housing assembly as shown in the Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks for the Air Cleaner Housing guide. Following this, you will need to take out the belly pan (2). For reliable lifting, raise the car with a floor jack, then put a wooden block on top to protect its bottom. Take out the vertical bolts (1) attaching the left engine mount (2) to the transmission bracket. Lift the transmission downwards slightly and use the floor jack to reach the fastener (2) on the mount to frame rail. Then, move on to removing the mount's isolator (3).
