You should disconnect the negative cable from the battery as a first step in dealing with the rear engine mount. Jack up the vehicle and hold the transmission carefully. Open up the nuts that connect the support cushion to the crossmember and finally remove the crossmember. For manual transmission, open the cushion screws, disconnect the bolts from the bracket and finally loosen the bracket to take it off the transmission. For an automatic transmission, remove the bolts that keep the support cushion attached to the transmission and you can then pull the cushion and the support bracket away for 4WD or the adaptor bracket for 2WD. In 2WD vehicles, take out the bolts that hold the transmission support adaptor bracket to the transmission, then remove the adaptor bracket.
