Before handling the front door speaker, make sure the battery negative cable is discharged and detached, remove the front door trim and then free the screws or clips fastening the speaker. Remove the speaker after taking the electric harness connector out. Turn off the battery, unhook the battery negative cable, take out the panel top cover, unscrew the speaker mounts, connect the harness and remove the speaker. For the instrument panel end speaker, similar steps are taken as before: disconnect and isolate the negative
Battery Cable, lift off the instrument panel top cover, remove the fasteners holding the speaker, pull off the electrical connector and remove the speaker. To take out the rear cab side speaker, unhook the negative battery cable, remove the side trim panels, undo the fasteners for the speaker, release its electrical harness from the body and lift the speaker out. Disconnect and seal the battery negative cable, next remove the rear door trim panel, fix the mounting fasteners, remove the harness connector from the speaker and lastly take out the speaker itself. To remove the subwoofer in a regular cab, disconnect the battery negative cable, take out the hardware securing the subwoofer housing, disconnect the harness from the subwoofer and pull the subwoofer away. To remove a subwoofer in a quad cab, cut off and detach the battery negative cable, raise the left rear seat, cut off the electrical harness connector and remove the screws or bolts from the subwoofer.
