How to Maintain and Fix the Rocker Arm on the Right Cylinder Head on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

To ensure you don't accidentally start the engine when working on the right cylinder head rocker arm, first take off the negative cable from the battery. Place the cover on hold and remove the cylinder head. Rotate the engine so cylinder No. 1 reaches its bottom dead center intake stroke for rocker arm removal on No. 4. To preassemble cylinder No. 1, rotate the crank until it is at bottom dead center combustion stroke. Rotate the crankshaft until cylinder No. 1 is in its TDC exhaust position for cylinders No. 3 and No. 5. To check No. 2 and No. 6 cylinders, turn the crankshaft to make sure cylinder No. 1 is at its ignition reignition at TDC. Use the Rocker Arm Remover/Installer 8516A to apply pressure downward on the valve spring and lift the rocker arm up and out.
