Connect and align the starter motor with the transmission and if it's an automatic vehicle, put the cooler tube bracket into place. Both bolts in an automatic transmission must be tightened to 50 ft. lbs. (68 Nm) and a manual transmission needs only one nut and one bolt, also tightened to this amount. After that, lower the vehicle and attach the negative battery side.
